And a mystery as to why John was said to be a widower; his wife's gravestone clearly shows that she died in 1922.) A comment by researcher Helen Strange: I don't know why it states on the 1920 census that John Holbrook is a widower, I do know that on Mazie Bell Holbrook's death certificate (Family Search.org) it states she was divorced at the time of her death.
