One male over sixteen and three females. 1800 Federal census shows him in Hopewell Township, Cumberland County, PA page 266. Four males under 10, one male of 10 and under 16, one male of 26 and under 45, one female under 10, one female of 10 and under 16, one female of 26 and under 45. 1810 Federal census, Mifflin Township, Cumberland County, PA page 70. The first is a document that lists John Heffelfinger, Peter Weaver, and Nicholas Ulrich as Administrators of the estate of deceased Frederick Heffelfinger. This document is dated 13 November 1816. The second document is an inventory of Frederick Hefflefinger filed 3 December 1816. This inventory was taken 20 November 1816. The inventory appraisal by Michael Lime and Henry Miller was deposed on 14 December 1816 before John Mitchell, Justice of the Peace, Cumberland County, PA. Two juxtaposed entries name wife and children listed in Orphan's Court Docket, Vol. 7 Cumberland County, PA. " 16 May 1821 Came into Court Elizabeth Hefflefinger widow and ... of Frederick Hefflefinger late of Mifflin township deceased and prefferred a Petition to the Court therein setting forth that your Petitioners late husband died intestate leaving is she four children who are minor under the age of fourteen years and have no Guardian appointed to take care of their person and Estates and praying the Court to appoint some suitable person Guardian over the person and Estates of Benjamin, Mary, Sarah, and David Hefflefinger, the four children above mentioned. Whereupon the Court appoint John McGuire of Frankford township Guardian for the purposes aforesaid. By the Court. 16 May 1821 Came into Court Philip and Martin Hefflefinger and preferred a Petition to the Court therein setting forth that your Petitioners late father Frederick Heffelfinger died intestate leaving your Petitioners minor above the age of fourteen years and hath no Guardian to take care of their persons and Estates and praying theCourt to permit them to make choice of some suitable person as Guardian. Whereupon John McGuire of Frankford township being nominated is approved of and appointed Guardian for the purposes aforesaid. By the Court."
