John Fernald was a cordwainer and had a grant of land in 1671, and d. Apr. 19, 1687. John Symondus lot granted 1661 was owned by John Fernald who lived on Eliot Neck. Lydia (Fernald) Harmon was a widow in 1702 and received a legacy from her father, John Fernald. Lydia m. 2nd., Benjamin Miller, of Portsmouth, N.H..".
