Facts and Events
John Hardin is found in the following censuses in Kentucky: 1820: Floyd Co., p. 41He is listed as a male betweem 26-45 years old. This would fit. According to later census information he was born ca. 1788 in Virginia or North Carolina. He would be about 32 years old. There is no other male in the household, but 1 female under 10, one female between the ages of 10-16, and one between 16-26. I am assuming this last one is his wife and the mother of the two females. 1830: Floyd Co., p. 29. He is listed between 40-50. He is actually about 42 years old. He has a little boy under 5 years. This little boy is too old to be Harvey. He has two little gitls under 5 years of age. The two gitls listed in the 1820 census are no longer living with him. Could they have been married off or died? His wife is between the ages of 20 to 30. 1840: 1850: Pike Co., HH# 468, p. 468 He is 65 years old. 1860: Floyd Co., He is listed as 70 years old. References
