John1 Greet was born about 1640 (aged 26 in February 1665/6) and, according to his own statement, came from Newfoundland to Boston about 1659. He was living at Eagle Neck in Southold, Long Island, in September 1677, but evidently died before February 16887/8, when his widow appears in Wethersfield, Connecticut.
