John F. Gray, 68, of Derry, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Feb. 3, 1935, in Derry, a son of the late William and Susan Mary Sholey Gray.
He was a member of Labor Union Local No. 1415.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, George, Robert and Andrew, and two sisters, Murtle Newhouse and Anna Mae McCallen.
He is survived by his former wife, Frances Loughner Gray, Greensburg; two sons, John F. Jr. and wife, Pam, and Larry J. and wife, Cindy, Derry; three daughters, Debbie Volchko, Connellsville, Mrs. Michael (Darlene) Hoffer, Greensburg, and Mrs. Michael (Karrie) Kershaw, Latrobe; a sister, Mary Ellen Palmer, of Latrobe; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in McCabe Funeral Home, Derry. Interment will follow in Coles Cemetery, Derry.
