1845 - Sarah Gordon was born in Whitby township. Source is 1851 census

1851 - John 39 was living with his wife Nancy 34 with their 3 children Sarah 7, Robert 6 and John 3. Source is 1851 census.

1871 - John 65 was living with his wife Anne 54 with their 3 children Robert 24, James 19, and Ruth 12 in Osprey Township, Grey County. Source is the 1871 Census of Canada. (The family moved there around 1861 from Pickering, to homestead.

1877 - John Gordon is shown on a 1877 map of Whitby Township at Concession 4, Lot 30a (he had 50 acres several miles north of Whitby. [THIS IS NOT CORRECT INFORMATION - blueiris 5/15/2017]

1891 - Although there is confirmation that John died in RM Stanley in Manitoba, there's no indication as to where he was buried... Somewhere in Manitoba, or, was his body shipped back to Ontario to be buried in the Wareham Cemetery with his wife, Nancy Ann.
