    "Rev. John Goldsbury, of Warwick, Mass., received an invitation to become their [Second Congregational Society] pastor, and his accepting of the same, he was ordained Wednesday, June 6, 1827 ..."
    Footnote attached to above: "Rev. John Goldsbury was born in Warwick, Mass., Feb. 11, 1795; fitted for college at different schools and academies, and under private instruction; graduated at Brown University in 1820; commenced the study of divinity at Harvard College in 1821, under Professors Ware, Norton, and Willard; taught in Taunton Academy several years; was ordained in North Bridgewater, Wednesday, June 6, 1827, where he remained till Sept. 4, 1831; now resides in Warwick, Mass."

  4.   Note from a previous posting: "page 2805 calls him John Goldsbury but note on page 2813 calls him John Williams Goldsbury". The source referred to is unknown. No contemporary record has been found referring to him as John Williams Goldsbury. His brother's name is explicitly Samuel Williams Goldsbury in Warwick records, but his shows no middle name.
