John Glover, "youngest son and child" of Rev. Joseph Glover and Elizabeth Harris, b. England, d. London 1668. Graduated Harvard 1650, Doctor of Medicine at Aberdeen in Scotland. Apparently practice in Roxbury for a time, then returned to England. Never married.

JOHN GLOVER, M.D., was probably born in America. He was certainly educated in Harvard college, New England, where he graduated bachelor of arts. As a doctor of medicine of Aberdeen, of May 15th (Idibus Maiis), 1654, he was admitted an Honorary Fellow of the College of Physicians in December, 1664. Dr Glover died of the plague, in 1665 [sic], under the circumstances I have mentioned when speaking of Dr Alexander Burnet. [Death date based on death of Dr. Burnett 25 Aug 1665, described in a letter quoted on p. 334: "Dr. Burnett, Dr. Glover, and one or two more of the College of Physicians, with Dr. O'Dowd, some surgeons, apothecaries, and Johnson the chemist, died all very suddenly. ... attempted to open a dead corpse that was full of the tokens ... some fell down immediately, and others did not outlive the next day at noon."]

  4. The birth order presented in the Glover Genealogy makes John younger than Priscilla. Priscilla's age at death suggests she was born in 1634, and John's father died in 1638, suggesting John was born about 1636. However, considering his graduation in 1650 (suggesting birth about 1633 or 1634), and his bringing suit against his guardian Rev. Dunster 1656 which would imply being of age (birth by 1635), it seems likely that John was born before Priscilla (or Priscilla's age at death is inaccurate).
