John2 bp. Dec. 18, 1631, St. Clement's Parish, Norwich, co. Norfolk, England; d. March 28, 1670, Medfield, MA (VR). He m. Dec. 25, 1656, Medfield (VR), Elizabeth (___) Harding, widow of Abraham Harding {3 vl3:217}. Her four Hardina children were brought up by John Frary {16 v34:208-9} & {3 vl6:160}~ She m. next, ab. 1675, Thomas Dyer of Weymouth {21 vl2:388}, and d. by Jan., 1679/80, when her will was probated {3 v46:see index}. John moved to Medfield with his parents; took the freeman's oath there May 14, 1656 {3 v3:194; vl3:346} & {14}; bought 6.5 acres of meadow at Pine Valley; signed the Medfield Memorial; was allotted 177 acres in Medfield New Grant, 1659; served as Selectman in 1668 and 1669; and died the following year after making his will as John Frairy, Jr., of Medfield. His principal heirs, wife Elizabeth and his "own twodaughters," shared equally. Two of his stepchildren, Abraham Harding and Mary Harding, received legacies, and a third, John Harding, was given a piece of land. As executors, he named his wife, his brother, Theophilus^, and Thomas Thurston {8} & {3 v48:459}.
