    Court Record, Page 129—5 May, 1726: Adms. granted to Sarah Easton, widow of sd. decd., Nathaniel Goodwin and Jonathan Butter of Hartford. The sd. Sarah Easton, Nathaniel Goodwin, Jonathan Butler and Joseph Ashley, of Hartford, acknowledge themselves joyntly and severally bound in a recog. of £100, and exhibited an inventory.

    Page 135—5 September, 1726: Jonathan Butler and Sarah Easton, two of the Adms. on the estate of John Easton, late of Hartford decd., informed that according to the direction of this Court in June last they have made sale of 10 acres of meadow land belonging to sd. deceased, to the highest bidder, viz., to Nathaniel Goodwin, one of the Adms. on the estate of sd. deceased, for the sum of £160-10-00 toward the payment of debts, which this Court accept of and direct the sd. Jonathan Butler and Sarah Easton to execute deeds of conveyance.

    Page 138—1st November, 1726: This Court order that the widow's dowry be set out to her by Robert Sandford and Joseph Skinner.

    Page 165—3 October, 1727: More debts appear, and more land must be sold to pay the debts.

    Page 194—2 August (1727) 1728: By order of the General Assembly, 12 May, 1726, the Adms. may by direction of the Court of Probate sell the real estate of John Easton, a home lot with buildings in Hartford on the west side of the river, at vandue. The Adms. upon several times endeavored to sell, but could never get one-half of what is now offered by Samuel Edwards, viz., £150. The Court order to sell at that price. (The estate was in debt £360 above the value of the personal property.)

    Page 62 (Vol. XIII) 1st April, 1740: Nathaniel Goodwin and Jonathan Butler, Adms., exhibited receipts under the hands of the creditors to sd. estate, whereby it appears they have paid in debts and charges the sum of £496-13-08, which is £17 more than the average made on the estate. The Court accepts the account and orders it to be kept on file.

    Page 24 (Vol. XV) 5 September, 1746: Sarah Easton, widow and relict of John Easton, moved to this Court that her right of dowry on the estate of the sd. deceased may be set out to her, particularly 2-3 of the farm lately in possession of Jacob Mygatt, in the Five Miles on the east side of the Great River: Whereupon this Court appoint Nathaniel Olcott and Josiah Olcott of Hartford to set out to the sd. widow 1-3 part of the sd. farm for her improvement during life, and make return thereof to this Court."
