  • There exist 2 military records of a John Delay who enlisted once 29 Dec 1865, deserting the following March, and then again 9 Sep 1867, deserting 2 days later. This JOhn would have been 15 and 17 at the times of these enlistments, but the soldier claimed to be 19 and 21.
