Information received in an email from Flo on 14 April 2007 (flow777 at bellsouth.net): John Currie is the son of John Currie and Elizabeth Rainey. Elizabeth is the daughter of John and Jane Mitchell Rainey of Person/Caswell co NC. Here is synopsis of will of Jane (Jean)'s father, David Mitchell of Person Co NC. He had 5 daughters and 2 sons.

David MITCHELL Sr's Person Co. NC will Oct 1794 wife Elizabeth; 

     "all my ch. , Viz. Jean REANY, Margaret McREONOLDS, Elizabeth MURRY(?), Mary McRIONALDS, Sarah McREONOLDS, David MITCHELL, and William MITCHELL." 
     Exec. William MITCHELL, Wit. George BURCH & Mary (X) WOODS.
