Facts and Events
Came to Dartmouth, MA in 1675.[2] Tradition says he was a stowaway escaping his apprenticeship in England. Lived in Dartmouth 30yrs bef moving to Providence 1705.[3] He deed land to his sons John and Samuel, and to daughter Amey and her husband Peter Roberts. They got the bulk of his estate it seems - his homestead where he lived and all personal and real estate in 1723, and 50 acres in Mashantack in 1727.[4] Virkus noted father as “Thomas from Englaind”, but no proof has ever been cited elsewhere. Colvin articles generally consider the cause hopeless.
