John A. Cochran

John Albert Cochran, 75, of Tiffin, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, at h is home surrounded by his family.

John was born Dec. 1, 1929, in rural Green Springs to Wm and Floren ce (Turney) Cochran. He was married to the late Geraldine Altman; they lat er divorced. On April 26, 1975, he married Maxine (Gregory) O'Millian. S he survives. Survivors include a son, John A. Cochran Jr. of Tiffin; stepsons, Gr eg A. (Cindy) O'Millian of Alvada, Ricky A. O'Millian of Hermitage, Pa., S teve P. O'Millian of Tiffin, Kevin P. (Laura) O'Millian of Tiffin, Jo dy A. (Lisa) O'Millian of McGuire AFB, N.J.; step daughter, Bonnie J. (Da n) Parsons of Mt. Cory; a brother, Turney (Carolyn) Cochran of Tiffin; sis ters, Hazel (Bob) Steinmetz, Lucille Butzier, and Helen (Phil) Dicken a ll of Tiffin; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a special c at named Susie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Phillip E. Prus e; a son, Stephen Cochran who died in 1991; three brothers, Harold, Robe rt and Earl Cochran; and a sister, Kathryn Rodgers.

Mr. Cochran graduated from Melmore High School in 1947. He was a Dairy far mer who named his farm, "Little Dairy on the prairie," he retired in 19 96 and enjoyed traveling. He was currently employed at Car Quest Auto Par ts in Tiffin.

He was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church, life memb er of Dad's of the VFW, Tiffin Eagles Aerie 402, Tiffin Lions Club and pa st president of the Seneca CO NFO.

A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at Hoffmann- Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home in Tiffin with the Rev. Greg Sellers officiati ng. Burial follows in St. Jacob's Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2005 at the funeral h ome, where the Tiffin Lions Club will visit at 6:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to Washington Street United Methodist C hurch, Community Hospice Care and FACT.
