'Frances [daughter of Robert and Katheryn Brooke], m. 20 Nov. 1547 [St. Leonard's nigh Eastcheap, London], John Clerke or Clarke, of Writtle in Essex at the time of the marriage but called yeoman of London in her mother's will in 1565, when they had two minor daughters named Johan and Roberge.'
