For more than 40 years Mr. Cassidy has been employed by the telephone company with little time lost on account of illness. Although he has long passed the age at which working men usually retire "Dad" Cassidy continues to report daily as a member of the "trouble shooting" crew for the telephone company. Of course, "Dad" doesn't climb telephone poles any more but still holds down the job as ground man for the crew. Mr. Cassidy did not have time for any formal celebration of his birthday yesterday but he received felicitations from many friends and neighbors and birthday greeting cards from absent friends. For many years he resided at 12 west Church street but he is now making his home with a son, Frank Cassidy on east McDonald street. References
