John Henry Cable
John Henry Cable, Jr., passed away on July 2, 2010. Services will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on Friday July 9, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rector Bob Wickizer and Reverend Jenny Pratt officiating. Interment will be at Greenhill Cemetery at a private service. Born on May 20, 1920 in Morris, Oklahoma, he married Eloise Crew in 1952. John was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma in accounting. He and Eloise were tireless supporters of academics and athletics at the University of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eloise, July 29, 2009. He is survived by his brother, Joe Cable, and sister-in-law, Bettye Cable, of Muskogee, nieces Gwyn Broyles and Karen Matkin of Waco, Texas, and nephew, John C. Cable, of Atlanta, Georgia. Memorials may be made to the Grace Episcopal Church, Building Fund, 218 N. 6th St., Muskogee, OK 74401 or Friends of the Muskogee Public Library, 801 W. Okmulgee, Muskogee, OK 74401. Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.
