AKA = JOHN. His surname also spelled: SLOOP & SCHLUPP.

The SCHLUP surname can be found in Jefferson Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, from where many of the Urbana area pioneers had migrated. We do not know if Johannes had links to there, but since he was married in Massilon, Ohio, he may have.

Johannes was listed as one of the founders of St. Peter's Church in Urbana.

In seems from the Wabash County Atlas, that John's farm was about half way between Urbana, and Roann, in Section 4, of Paw Paw Township, Wabash County, Indiana.

Other Swiss families connected in these WeRelate pages are the Karns, Maurer, Gurtner, and Speicher families.
