Burgebrach is a market town in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg and the seat of the administrative community (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft) of Burgebrach. Burgebrach is said to be the eastern gateway to the Steigerwald (forest), where the Mittlere Ebrach empties into the Rauhe Ebrach. It is to be found on Bundesstraße 22 halfway between Bamberg and Ebrach.

- ↑ 100 is the house number were the family lived in Burgebrach.
The patron saint of the church in Burgebrach is Vitus
In former times we don´t had street names in small cities or villages. The number of the house is enough to get e.g. the right land register at the Staatsarchiv Bamberg, Hainstr. 39, 96047 Bamberg, Tel.: 0951/98 62 25 0, poststelle@staba.bayern.de. This registers start in the 1st half of the 19th century.
