Facts and Events
I suspect that this Johann may be the Johann Trabold who came from Baden in 1852, see
http://www.auswanderer-bw.de/auswanderer/index.php?sprache=en&suche=1
From 1870 census Name Age Peter Trabold 59 (b about 1811) "Farm labourer" Dortha Trabold 49 (b about 1812) "Keeping House" Henry Trabold 10 Kate Trabold 7 Lawrence Smith 24 "Stone mason" Note these Baden Trabolds. http://www.igi.siebes.de/igi/oxysiebes/n10.htm#1119 John Peter is clearly stated to have been b. in New Jersey, so evidently Peter must have come before 1852. As Lawrence Drabold is born about 1845 in Baden, we can guess that Peter arrived between 1845-1852. There is a Johann Peter Trabold whose details I cite from Walldorf, married to a Dorothea H -- I will take this. Note the following: Germany Births and Baptisms, 1558-1898 for Peter Joseph Trabold The conjecture is that PJ below is a brother of JPT or perhaps it IS JPT. As they are from Walldorf, this is likely, not certain. Name Peter Joseph Trabold Gender Male Baptism/Christening Date 16 Dec 1811 Baptism/Christening Place Walldorf (A.
