JOHANN or AKA "Nickolas" arrived in the USA (Philadelphia) on: 27 October 1764 from Rotterdam, on the ship: "HERO". He (NICKOLAUS) was the only name on the record, but he must have been traveling with his wife and oldest son.

He settled after 1781 in Salisbury Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania (now a part of Lehigh County).

He was a Revolutionary War veteran. 4th Class, 1st Battalion, 18 June 1777.
