Peter Tritt, aged 79, served in the Pennsylvania continental line as a private. He had been placed on the Pension roll March 20, 1833 and payment had commenced on March 4, 1831. His annual allowance was $56.52 and he had received $113.02 total. He was living in Cumberland County at this time.

Peter Tritt served two enlistments as a private. In 1832 he was at the celebration in Carlisle of the anniversary of the battle of Princeton.

Peter Tritt served as a private in 1775 in Captain Doudle's Company, Colonel Henderson's 3rd Battalion, York County, Pennsylvania militia.
