• cos1776 Note: I am using the spelling "Sturdivant" the most consistent spelling used throughout the Bristol Parish Vestry Book.
• cos1776 Note: I realize that Mary Hall, w/o Instant Hall, would have been way too old to be Joel's mother, but since she is the only Mary Hall known to be mentioned extensively in the Bristol parish records, I am leaving her attached as his mother until it gets sorted out.   • CLUE: Mary's husband, Instant Hall, had land that was near/adj that of Daniel Sturdivant.
  • CLUE: There was a Joel Sturdivant, b 18 May 1732, s/o John and Mary Sturdivant.
  • CLUE: some say she is Mary Sturdivant, b 21 Nov 1728, d/o John and Mary Sturdivant.
