"Joanna (Kent), b. say 1592; m. perhaps Roger Bankes and/or Philip Dawling. Her brother John's will in 1631 included a legacy to 'brother Roger Bankes,' and the will of her uncle Richard Kent in 1638 mentioned children of Philip and Joan Dawling just following the widow Martha Browne, who was Joanna's sister. Joanna's grandfather Richard Kent in his 1609 will made a small bequest to 'Philip Dowling the younger.'"
