• residue to John WATTS, John JEFFERIES, John COLLINGS and John ELLEN in trust to apply it for such purposes as my sister Rachel CABBELL shall from time to time by any writing under hand attested by two or more credible witnesses or by her last will and testament direct notwithstanding her present or after coverture; and for want of such direction to distribute it amongs all the children of my sister Rachel CABBELL share and share alike

1732 Codicil dated 28 Jul: to my kinsmen William BUNN als BILSTONE, Twister of Frome Swd, George HOOPER, Butcher of Marston Biggot, s/o Hugh HOOPER late of Marston Bigot deceased, and to Benjamin HOOPER s/o Benjamin HOOPER of Marston aforesaid all my interest in my leasehold estate at Witham Friary granted to me by Sir William WYNDHAM Bart by lease dated 30 Jun 1730 for 99 years determinable on the deceases of William DUNN als HIPSTONE, George HOOPER and Benjamin HOOPER. 1736/7 letter written 19 Jan to unknown person by Wm CABELL, then in Warminster:

"I soliseted Mr. Whitkers about the Jn. Bres thereof but he Refused to pay any aledging that Unkle George Estate was insolvant to whose hand it came as administrator to Aunt Avory and farther that he had got Aunt Grants Receipt in full for a five pound legacy Given to Jos: Mayo by his Grand mother Hooper unto whome he paid it but a little before her death."
