This is my gggrandfather.

My father was passed down James (Jimmie) and Eliza Robins Hansbrough family bible. Boyd Hansbro had written several letters telling about his parents and grandparents history. Old letters from G. W. Early gave great information. James disappeared in the census and I found Eliza Robins Hansbrough had remarried to Moses Craig. Finally found documentation from James Hansbrough's lawyer (J. W. Cox) informing William that his father had died on January 10, 1860 at his house. The letter heading says Bristersburg, Va dated January 11, 1860. He stated he was a soldier in the war of 1812.

In one letter that Boyd had written, he tells about a Sea Captain. I am wondering if he is referring to Captain John Primm that married Elizabeth Hansbrough (would be his great aunt) Any information on why John Primm was a Captain?
