SNOW CAMP - Mr. Jim H. Murray, 80, of 3434 Spanish Oak Hill Road, died Tuesday evening, June 3, 2000, at his home after several years of failing health. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Mabel Euliss Murray and the son of Mr. E.A. Murray and Mrs. Bertha Isley Murray, both deceased. He was a retired grading contractor and attended Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. He was a lifetime member of the Alamance Chapter Antique Car Club of America, member of the N.C. Region Antique Car Club of America and the National Antique Car Club of America, the Early V-8 Club. Survivors include two sons, Mr. Archie Murray of Roxboro and Mr. Dwight Murray of Snow Camp; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Baker of Snow Camp; a brother, Mr. Bascom Murray of Snow Camp; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Doug "Duck" Murray. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church by Dr. Charles Adams, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
