"Jesse (Peck), b 8 May 1741 (Wallingford Vital Records), d Sep 1758 æ. 17 (gravestone, Center Street Cemetery, Wallingford), 28 Sep (Muster Rolls of Conn. Troops, French & Indian Wars)."

Apparently died during Abercrombie's 1758 campaign against Fort Carillon (now Ticonderoga), sometime after the battle. The gravestone in Wallingford is almost certainly a cenotaph.
