    49. Col. Jesse Leavenworth.--Mark, Thomas, Thomas. Born November 22, 1740, at Waterbury, Ct., Graduated Yale College in 1784 [error for 1759]]. Married (1) July 1, 1761, Catharine Frisbie (Widow of Capt. Culpepper Frisbie, and daughter of John Conkling)... He m. (2) Eunice Sperry.... In his old age, Jesse L. became very infirm. He was at Sackett's Harbor, N.Y. in 1823, decrepid and unable to travel. He died there, probably, on the 12th of December, 1824, though the date of June 29, 1824, is given by one of the family.
