Jerome Napoleon Pendergrass moved to Franklin County Arkansas as a small child, with his parents. They moved to South Franklin in 1872. As an adult, he was in the mercantile business in both Peter Pender and Branch, Arkansas for more than 50 years. His mercantile building in Branch was the first business building in the town. He was a member of the methodist Church. Jerome and Mary Katherine's son Elmer is listed in this database. Their two daughters are not because their first names are not known. They are listed in the Sallie DeWitt 1981 genealogy as Mrs. O. O. Bryan of Peter Pender, Arkansas; and Mrs. O. B. Barger of Branch, Arkansas.
