In the War of 1812, Jeremiah Wardwell served as a Private in Captain Elihu Thayer's Company, Lt. Col Grant's Regiment, from September 1 to September 4, 1814 (the unit raised at Frankfort, ME), Thayer's company was in the Battle of Hampden on September 3, 1814. -Massachusetts Militia in the War of 1812, Militia Rosters by Regiment, Page 216 In Penoscot at 1850 census, with real estate valued at $1000. Living in Bucksport at 1860 Census with real estate valued at $2400 and personal estate valued at $357. Living with him are his grandsons 10 year old Osborn and 8 year old Alfred. References
