PERSON Jeremiah, s. John, b. Oct. 3, 1718 [Vol. 2, p. 55]
- ↑ Will of Jeremiah's father John, written 1770, pays Jeremiah's sons, "supposing" Jeremiah to be dead, and names Sarah Coker, mother of Jeremiah's sons. Intentions to married were entered in Newbury between Sarah Pearson and Benjamin Coker on 9 Dec 1749, then forbid by Benjamin Coker, then reentered on 15 Dec 1749 with Benjamin Coker "not oblidged himself to pay any of her late Husbands Debts namely Capt. Jeremiah Pearson late of Newbury Deceased." It would appear Jeremiah went to sea and did not return.
