Daily Times-News, The Wednesday, November 11, 1970 Couple Celebrates Their Golden Anniversary Mr, and Mrs.. JENNINGS Bryan COBLE of 708 South Broad Street, who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, were entertained on Saturday at a dinner given by her their daughter and son-in-law, Dr. and Mrs.. John A. McLeod Jr.. of Asheville. They were also honored on Sunday at a dinner party given by Mrs.. COBLE's brothers and sisters at the home of Mrs.. Freeman Isley on Hawthorne Lane. Mrs.. COBLE's aunt, Mrs.. E. R. Thomas was a special guest. Mr. and Mrs.. COBLE were married November 11, 1920, in Davis Street Methodist Protestant Church. They have three daughters, Mrs.. Nolan C, Cotemar. of Miami, Fla.; Mrs.. Charles G, Needley of Walnut Creek. Calif.; and Mrs.. McLeod; there are ten grandchildren. Mr. COBLE owned and operated COBLE Furniture Company here for many years and is now retired. Mrs.. COBLE is the former Lulu Foster.
