Mrs. Joe VerDoorn Jr., was born in Holland, April 22, 1876 where she resided until 1910 when she came to this country, settling in Wisconsin and then came to Sioux county where she has since resided.

She was united in marriage to Joe Verdoorn Jr., on June 27, 1917 and to this union two sons were born, namely Will and Jake both at home. Besides her sons she leaves her husband, three brothers and four sisters. Three of the sisters still live in Holland. The other sister and 3 brothers live at distant places in America.

Death occured Tuesday evening, Oct. 2, 1928. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the First Reformed church, conducted by Rev. R. D.Douwstra and interment made in Valley View cemetery. The bereaved husband and children have the sympathy of many friends.
