2) Juan Baptiste Alexandre III was listed as awidower, age 52, he had 2 children living with him on a solitary plantation, worked by 4 mulattos, 2 Negro slaves by Comdt Pedro Favrot's 1785 Mobile census. filed January 1, 1786, AGI, PC, leg. 2360.

4) In the census filed by Comdt Vicente Folch y Juan at mobile. March 15 178, AGI, PC., leg 202, "Baptiste Alexandre" a widower, age 55 years old with two children, 7 slaves, and 1 plantation. 6) It is believed that when Joachim's first wife, Emilisa Cook, died that Rosalie Boudan was helping with the children. Joachim's mother died in January of 1849. When Emilisa died in April, Joachim Dennis wa only a month old and obviously she was not able to care for the family for awhile. True that Malvenia and Constanine were old enough to help, but the both married later in 1849 and that left Cecelia 11, Pauline 5, and Emeline 4. It is quite possible that Rosalie and Joachim were not officially married but had a "spousal relationship."
