    Jardine "Jab" Barger, 84, of Callensburg, died Saturday evening, March 10, 2001, in the Beverly Health Care Center in Shippenville, following a brief illness. Born Sept. 26, 1916, in West Monterey, Pa., he was a son of the late Burton Lee and Eliza Ann Hutchison Barger. He was married in November of 1933 to the former Twila M. Lewis, who preceded him in death on Oct. 6, 1983. He later married Norma McElhaney, who preceded him in death in November 1999. Mr. Barger was employed by the Mack Coal Co. of Sligo. He later worked for C & K Coal Co. as a heavy equipment operator for more than 20 years before retiring. He was a social member of the VFW Post 7073 of Parker, a social member of the American Legion of Clarion, and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 101 of Clarion. He was affiliated with the Church of God at Callensburg. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George (Phoebe) Fatora of Blairsville, and Mrs. Dennis (Linda) Pennington of Parker; a son Richard Barger of Tylersburg; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. June Bailey of Callensburg and Mrs. Ruth Stewart of Parker; a brother, Millard (Bill) Barger of Rimersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents and wives, were two sons, Floyd and James Barger; three sisters, Verna Fair, Bernice and Ethel Kriebel; and two brothers, Byron and Russell Barger. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, Wayne Street, Parker. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Perryville Cemetery, near Parker.
