Janette Spriggs Sept. 18, 1929 -- Nov. 3, 2004

Janette Spriggs, 75, of Fostoria passed away Wednesday at her home.

She was born in Gibsonburg to LeRoy and Dorothy (Travis) Orth.

Janette graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1947 and later married Jo seph Paul Spriggs. He died in 1989.

Janette worked in Fremont at Memorial Hospital for a while as a nurses ai d, and also at Atlas Crankshaft in Gibsonburg for 25 years. She was a memb er of the Fostoria Senior Center and attended activities at the Rick Lonsw ay Center, Fostoria. Janette also attended Grace Community Church, Fremon t. She enjoyed playing cards and crocheting.

She is survived by son, Allen (Carolyn) Spriggs, of Florida; daughter, Cat herine Bilgili of Fostoria; sons, Edward (Willa) Spriggs of Fremont, Mi ke (Kathy) Spriggs of Tiffin, and Larry (Sandy) Spriggs of Florida; 12 gra ndchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Myers of Gibsonbur g; brothers, John (Donna) Orth of Az, and Dale Orth of Florida; and s ister, Donna Hayes of Florida. She was preceded by her parents, husband a nd brother, Calvin Orth.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Herman-Kinn-Karlove tz Funeral Home & Cremations Services, Fremont.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Pinkert on officiating.

Burial: St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fremont.

Memorials: To The Rick Lonsway Center, Fostoria.
