Facts and Events
Name Jane Margaret Hyndman
Gender Female
Birth[1][2] 14 Nov 1860 Ontario, Canada
Death[3] 1928

From the Hyndman book notes: Jane was very deaf and used a large horn as hearing aid. She sat as close as possible to the front of the church and [her cousin] Evelyn Hyndman (E.12b) was asked to help her find her place in the Bible. When Evelyn joined the choir, her brother Fenton was asked to take her place. Thefirst test of his knowledge was to find a chapter in Genesis. He says he openedthe Bible in the middle and went through to the back to no avail; so he returned to the middle and the reading was over before he finally reached Genesis. His mother, also in the choir, watched with horror. Fenton learned the order of the books of the Bible before he could go out to play that afternoon. Jane was staying with her sister Jessie MacIntosh when she died and the big hearing hornwas put up for sale when the MacIntosh Apple Orchard was sold after the death of Samuel Allen MacIntosh (D.1k2) in 1971.
