    BOUMA, John, age 87 years, of Lynden, passed away at the home of his daughter, Monday, May 20, (1957), following a short illness. He had resided in the Lynden district for 38 years, and leaves to survive two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Bakker and Mrs. May DeBoer, both of Lynden; two sons, Mr. Herman Bouma, of Maple Falls, and Dr. Louis Bouma; 17 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 23, in the First Christian Reformed Church in Lynden at 2 p. m. with Rev. Reinsma officiating. Interment, Monumenta Cemetery, under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden.
