James Edwin Young was called Ted by everyone - the story is that his grandmother started calling him that and he went by it all of his life. Ted worked at Inland Container Corporation in Middletown making cardboard boxes, most of his life. He also liked to drive a truck on the weekends - hauling hay to Kentucky and returning with coal to sell in the Middletown area. 

 In the summer he drove to Atlanta and brought melons and peaches back to sell.  He died of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 40.
