CAPTAIN JAMES WRIGHT
Served in the 7th Regiment from the state of Virginia, commanded by Colonel John Morgan. He was commissioned Second Lieutenant, July 31, 1776. First Lieutenant, July 2, 1779; he was a prisoner of war and was pensioned. He died in 1845, in Morgan county, Illinois, and is buried in Franklin City Cemetery, Franklin, Morgan Co., Illinois.

    This record has a photo of the later placed govt marker with dates which may or may not be correct: 1753-1845. (This grave is close to that of Samuel Jackson whose original govt gravemarker was finally replaced with one having correct dates. The two families were intermarried.)
