I believe she was the daughter of (Marion S.?) Watkins and Marian H. Wills (~1824-1872), who was raised by Marian's sister Mary and husband James Scobee. 

 In the 1860 census for Carlisle, Nicholas Co., Kentucky, James Scobee is 40 farmer; Mary 33, and J. A. Watkins 9 -- all born Kentucky. {p. 302} They are living next door to Catherine Scobee 72 from Virginia.  A B. F. Watkins, age 11, is living with G. F. and Mariah Wills, also in Carlisle.

 In the 1880 census, [her brother?] Benjamin Watkins is living in Indianapolis, a harness maker age from Kentucky, with his family.

 In the 1910 census for district 4, Nicholas Co., Kentucky,  "Jimmie (or Jiminie) Shanklin" is 58, born Kentucky (parents same), widow, with 0 of 0 children living. {ed ?, sh 2b, p.113}
 In the 1920 census for  Carlisle, district 5, Nicholas Co., Kentucky, 'Jimmie Shandland' is a widow age 64. {ed 219, sh 4b, p 256}
 Probably the "Mrs. Jimmie A. Shanklin" who died in 1941 in Nicholas Co. at the age of 90, per Kentucky Death Index.
