Legal notice regarding estate, published 5 Sep 1896 in the Bath Independent

...The petition and representation of James A Stevens, administrator on the estate of James M Stevens, late of Georgetown, in the county of Sagadahoc, deceased, intestate, respectfully shews, that the personal estate of said deceased, which has come into the hands and possession of said administrator, is not sufficient to pay the just debts and demands against said estate by the sum of seven hundred dollars. That said deceased died seized and possessed of certain real estate, situate in Georgetown, in said county, and described as follows:
A certain farm and buildings thereon, situate in said Georgetown, bounded and described as follows: On the north by land of Warren Davis and H. G. Rowe; east by land of Joseph Stevens and land formerly of Charles Stevens; south by Harmon's Harbor and west by land of Charles Stevens, and land of Warren Davis and land of John Rose, containing seventy-five acres more or less. That the said administrator makes application to this court, and prays your honor that he may be authorized and empowered, agreeably to the law, to sell from time to time and pass deeds to convey all the above described real estate, in whole or in part, at public or private sale, together with the reversion of the widow's dower therein, pursuant to the statute in such cases made and provided.
