Sparks departed this life last Sabbath morning, after years of almost constant suffering from consumption. Mr. Sparks was born in Rush county, Ind., May 7th, 1829. Was married June 3d, 1858, to Miss Amanda Nelson, by Reb. D.P. Hartman. He has been a resident of LaGrange county the most of his life. Has been a member of the M.P. Church for many years, and was a good neighbor, a faithful christian, and a kind husband and father, and leaves a wife and six children to mourn his death. The funeral took place from Bethel church, conducted by Rev. Woodsworth, where a large multitude met to do honor to their dead. References
