On James' WWI Draft Registration, dated Jun 5, 1917, stated that he had a wife and 3 children. On the 1910 census, Edna states she has 1 child living of 2 children, which means that John has already died. It's possible that there was another child born between John and Cloyd. My aunt Donna remembers Ellen Sipes, so I think it was John who died.
