    William Bassett's "widow married, June, 1671, Lieut. James1 Percival, who came from Virginia about 1670, to Sandwich. They had three children. He died 1692. His will provides for his wife Mary, his sons John and James and daughter Elizabeth, daughter-in-law (which means wife's daughter), Sarah Lewes, grandson John Williams that dwells with me, son of Mary Bassett dec'd, and son-in-law Nathan Bassett (that is, wife's son)."
