James Padden Found Dead in Bed Sunday
Highly Respected Resident of Elk Run Succumbs to Heart Trouble
To Be Buried in Jeannette
James Padden, of Elk Run avenue, was found dead in his bed Sunday morning when a member of the family went to awaken him. He had been suffering from heart trouble and it is supposed that this caused his death. He was 41 years of age.
The deceased was born and reared in Sharpsburg, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Padden, deceased. He came to Punxsutawney six years ago and became a valued employee of the Tibby-Brawner Glass Company. He was a member of the K of P., Junior Mechanics, Modern Woodmen of America and G.B.B.A. of A., and has been a member of the Lutheran church since coming to this place. "Jimmy", as he was known to his many friends in town, was a friendly, quiet man, sound of character and who took a deep interest, in everything connected with the civic welfare of Punxsutawney. His death is keenly felt.
He is survived by his widow, and four children: ELizabeth, William, Raymond and Eugene at home. One sister and four brothers also survive: Mrs. Anna North, George, John and Dick Padden, of Sharpsburg and Edward, of West Virginia. Mrs. Padden is ill in the Adrian hospital.
