She married (1) JAMES NEWTON 15 November 1805 in NC. He died Abt. 1809 in NC. She married (2) WARREN BLOUNT 06 January 1816 in Duplin Co, NC. He was born Bet. 1760 - 1790, and died Bet. 18 February - April 1823 in Duplin Co, NC.

Notes for ELEANOR BOURDEAUX: At her 2nd marriage (to Warren Blount in Duplin Co, NC) Archibald McCalop served as bondsman; the witness was William Dickson, C C.

Eleanor's will dated 13 Oct 1860; proved Duplin Co, NC Apr Term 1862. (Duplin County record # 035.801.1; Will book # 3, pg 53): to "eldest son, Daniel B Newton, negro Phillis; eldest daughter Eliza, wife of Samuel R Ireland, negro Nelly and her son Jack only if Samuel R Ireland relinquishes all rights to the rents for his wife's distribution share of the land of which I have held dower since the death of my first husband and on which I have lived since that event till very recently; granddaughter Mary E Huggins, only surviving child of my daughter Mary E Henry dec'd, $600; daughter Eleanor, wife of Clairborne J (his middle name was Ivey; the J was incorrect) Oates, two tracts of land on Town-Creed in Brunswick County purchased of Andrew J Potter and a small tract adjacent both bought of Jane and William Cumbo and at her death to her children; if son-in-law Samuel R Ireland claims rents from daughter Eliza's share the negroes Nelly and Jack to be sold and money paid over to Eliza; residue of estate sold and youngest daughter Julia A Blount and youngest son James W Blount are to receive $1375. each and the remainder equally divided between daughters Eleanor Oates and Jula A Blount and son James W Blount. Notes for JAMES NEWTON: From HISTORY OF SAMPSON CO, NC, family profile # 873: "Reuben Newton, son of George Newton (a Revolutionary Soldier, b ca 1740) and Nancy Ann Moore, was born about 1774; Reuben married Margaret Bordeaux and lived in New Hanover Co, NC." QUESTIONS: Was Reuben a brother or other relative of James Newton, or could he have been the same person as James ? Also, were Eleanor Bourdeaux and Margaret Bordeaux the same person, or siblings, or were they unrelated ????
