Nancy Morrow filed for a pension in 1904, stating her husband died 8 Nov 1903. The file also includes James' 1901 application, in which he states that he was 85 years old. J.T. Morrow was one of the witnesses to his military service. He was a private in the 35th Alabama.

  6. 1860 census record says age 32, which seems more consistent with a first marriage in 1853, rather than the August 1821 date given in the 1900 census. He also gave his age as 84 in his 1901 pension application, so he was perhaps losing track as he aged.
